The Five Themes of Tu B’Av (15th of Av):

1) Unity restored — the ban on intermarriage between the tribes of Israel was lifted.  
2) Reconciliation — the tribe of Benjamin was welcomed back after near extinction.  
3) Renewal — the decree of death in the wilderness (after the sin of the spies) came to an end.  
4) Pilgrimage — Jeroboam’s barriers were removed, allowing free return to Jerusalem.  
5) Joy — a day of love, marriage, and celebration; “no day was as joyous as Tu B’Av.”
