My Dearest Genny, I write now with a glad heart, despite the recent days being fraught with evil events and darkness. Last week, the Germans, a leading member of the Fiat Faction, delivered several strategic blows to the Satoshian Core, and consequently, the Core has lost much ground, at one point being forced all the way to the 53rd parallel. Such reversals have cast a shadow over the hearts of our compatriots; indeed, many voiced despair, contemplating the abandonment of our noble cause. Rumors swirl that the Ether-Sol Alliance, too, feels the sting of these defeats. I confess, at moments, the thought of defecting to the Fiat Faction has whispered in my own heart. Yet, as of today, fortune shows a fickle face—the Germans have extended overtures towards the Core, and indeed, they have regained the 58th parallel. My prayers are fervent that they might hold this crucial ground, though whispers of a retreat to the dire 42nd parallel haunt our ranks. Such a loss would grievously delay our quest for the Lunar Runes, perhaps by months or even years. However, amidst these trials, beams of hope have pierced the gloom. Our enigmatic leader has twice lifted our spirits: firstly, with the simple yet poignant declaration of "GM Jeets," and yesterday, by staunchly refuting any claims of betrayal to our cause. Nevertheless, a malcontent from within named Felix has taken up a personal vendetta, asserting that Runedev is fraudulent to the marrow. He still refuses to provide evidence for the accusations levied, yet he confidently espouses his maledictions. Time will tell, but for now, the soldiers seem rather emboldened in the face of his spurious claims. In other news, the metal men to the south have retreated somewhat—it would appear they have lost some motivation for now. The forces of the Epic Union have offered payment to many of the other factions in exchange for loyalty, and it seems to have gained them quite some territory—indeed, today they have made greater strides toward capturing the Lunar Runes than any other state. I wish the RSIC Faction could gain such substantive ground, but for now, we are patient as we wait to discover our leader's machinations. I admit, I have regained my confidence in the Satoshian Core despite being quite shaken by the German onslaught the other night. What's more, as the Decentralized Province has made strides in the past few days, I find myself wanting to invest further in their markets as a show of solidarity and support for our common goal. The Billians continue to grow strong, and many in our ranks are enamored of their grassroots cause—even I have adopted three cats from their lands, and I cannot wait to bring them home to you. One is adorned with a cute mage’s hat. They all seem to be quite fond of the pizza that the Unisatian Quartermaster has prepared for us—so be ready for many such meals once I return. It is late now, and I must rest. My heart longs for you, Genny, and for the day when Runecoinia claims the Lunar Runes, allowing me to furnish you with every desire your heart may wish. Until that blessed day, I remain, Yours ever steadfast, S. Custody
