The Militia Games Sporting Event Practiced by Federated Teams of Civilian Amateur Athletes
Teams participating in the Militia Olympix consist of individuals, duos, or more. Teams may form and organize events at will. Regional organization is a priority, with local and neighborhood organization being the pinnacle of team formation.
The qualifying event for Militia Olympix prospects is the "Militia Minute"
Athletes should record and post a video of their participation in the Militia Olympix to a platform that allows such content. Fellow participants and Militia Olympix enthusiasts judge the events. Awards, leaderboards, and a points-based system will be announced at a future date.
Future events will be defined, organized, and hosted by the federated teams. The design of the events should be targeted to amateur athletes, not professionals or highly trained civilians. Millions of U.S. citizens own the equipment and support the Second Amendment freedoms codified by the Founders. In order to scale the Militia Olympix, both the equipment and event design must retain accessibility for athletes with limited resources (time, money, access to a range, etc) to train for and participate in events.
The Militia Olympix is a sporting event. It is not a "militia" or "paramilitary" organization as there is no leadership structure or command authority, and no directive to disrupt lawful activities or overthrow government. The spirit of the Militia Olympix is embedded into the United States Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and specifically the Second Amendment. A decentralized organization such as the Militia Olympix opposes tyrants in penalizing law abiding citizens with anti-freedom laws, such as:
All laws should be followed and safety emphasized at events. The Militia Olympix events should be defined such that athletes in tyrannical jurisdictions are free to participate, lawfully. Unlawful activities violate the core mission of widespread militia-sports adoption.
The Militia Olympix shooting sport is accessible to all U.S. citizens in support of the Second Amendment, and empowers the non-professional amateur athlete with limited resources. Scaling basic militia-like skills in a gamified format for widespread citizen adoption should be prioritized over complex professional training for an exclusive minority of highly-resourced athletes.
The Militia Olympix is a decentralized movement with no organizational structure beyond what is stated in this document and the underlying values expressed by the Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
