My Dearest Genny, It has been some time since I last wrote to you. I fear things have not improved. In recent weeks, the Satoshian Core has lost control of the 61st Parallel, a loss that has cast a pall over the spirits of everyone in Bitcoinia. This defeat weighs most heavily on our contingent; for every inch the Core concedes, it seems our forces forfeit a mile. A curious silence has persisted from the RuneDev since the enigmatic dispatch about a distant runner's miraculous conquest—a marathon completed in under two hours. We pore over this news, hopeful yet baffled, conjecturing that perhaps our elusive leader has engineered some new strategy or device that might significantly bolster our quest for the Lunar Runes. Nevertheless, the camp grows restless. Today, our patience was tried by an emissary from the Canidae, who claimed the RuneDev is disingenuous in his leadership, seeking to exploit us all for his own gain. They provided no proof, and their claims, unsubstantiated and slanderous, were swiftly rebuked. Yet the incident ignited a fierce temper among our ranks, which the officers struggled to quell. I should also mention a new upstart force of metal men— “androids,” some call them — has taken territory to the south under the simple banner of “Rune State,” claiming to have found tremendous power from the utility of the runes they uncovered. Their forces are small as yet, but the momentum they gain from their claims and the charisma of their leadership have our commanders wary of potential sorties into our southern holdings. Additionally, the Billians continue to amass influence, stoking the ire of the Spartan King, who has now aligned with the Sillians in a bid to thwart the Billian advances. Our own commanders have extended a measure of support to the Billians, recognizing a potential alignment of interests that may well serve both our causes. Of course, the RuneDev has made no comment on the matter. But now the hour grows late, and I must prepare for a long march tomorrow. I hope with all my heart that the Core can reclaim the 73rd parallel lost a month ago, and restore momentum to all factions of Bitcoinia. The sooner Runecoinia secures the Lunar Runes, the sooner I can share in the spoils of war, prove my worth to your father, and finally, we can be together. I remain, with unwavering devotion, Yours ever steadfast, S. Custody
