In a future where our physical bodies are gone but our data persists, Exposed, 2112 explores identity reconstructed through artificial intelligence. Inspired by the Borg of Star Trek, this work examines the assimilation of human memory into a vast digital collective. The process began with the most intimate human feature: the eye. Using a Canon 5D MIV and macro lens, I photographed the irises of my family, isolating only the color patterns in Photoshop. These fragments were fused into one composite iris—no longer tied to any single person. I then fed this hybrid into an AI generator, which reimagined the eye within its own visual logic. The AI outputs were layered with human elements—my original irises and holographic images from family trips—embedded within the pupils. The result: a gaze that is both human and machine—haunting, fragmented, and shared. It is not simply a portrait of digital assimilation; it is assimilation itself.
