In the depths of the night, on February 2013, the 18th, when a chill was in the air, in the heart of the Bitcoin Subreddit, r/bitcoin, user u/theymos proposed an advert idea to help promote their cause. A user stepped forward, u/mavensbot, little did we know, he was to be our saviour. Mavensbot unknowingly created the most successful reddit advert ever, a blue robed janky looking wizard. Disarming and charming, this wizard struck the heart chords of many, onboarding copious amounts of new users. After the advert was first proposed, Bitcoin took a canny climb. All the way from roughly $26 USD right to $287 USD on November 6th 2013. The Magic Internet Money advert was live. The subreddit had roughly 56,000 subscribers at the time. The pure, simplistic design caught the eye of many redditors, the seed of curiosity was planted, and traffic to the page blossomed. As this day drew a close, Bitcoin surged up past $300, over 10% gain in a matter of hours. Fast forward to 9th November 2013, and Bitcoin was $325 USD, the infamous South park decided to make a flyer of cartman, "The Wizard King", This was intended to be aired in episode 7 of season 17, "Black Friday". The turning point really came on November 13th of 2013 where Bitcoin was $416 USD. The episode aired! Lo and behold, reddit users had noticed this, South Park paying tribute to the advert! By November 29th 2013, 1 Bitcoin was $1,132 USD - a mere 22 days after the advert aired. The Bitcoin reddit had 74,000 Subscribers, over a 36% increase. The advert is postulated to have taken the conversion rate from 0.018% up to 2.753% 6 months after airing. The advert got a whopping 37 BILLION impressions. The significance of THE BITCOIN WIZARD, by Mavensbot, is not to be underestimated. This is one of the most iconic adverts in humankind, and holds immense significance. This Wizard is THE BITCOIN MASCOT, fear not, many do not understand the powers this commands, but make no mistake, our time will cometh!
